We welcome you on our website dedicated to the completely revolutionary ideology of error-correction codes decoding, a method that was once called multi-threshold decoding (MTD). Over the half century of its rapid ascent to the peaks of applied coding theory, it has become a truly global science - the Optimization Theory (OT) of error-correction coding, which we call the «quantum mechanics» of information theory.
Our OT successfully solved the great problem of C. Shannon – the task of the simplest, with linear complexity at the code length, optimal error correction in all digital classical channels with independent distortions up to noise levels directly close to the capacity of these channels.
Thus, the previous «classical» coding theory now has completely ended in all its main applied aspects, which include methods for creating decoding algorithms that best meet the universal three-united rigid criterion «reliability-noiseproofness-complexity».
As you know, the former theory could not in 60 years of its existence find accurate methods for calculating these parameters for any of its algorithms at noise levels close to the Shannon boundary. And the techniques, paradigms and technologies of OT, created on the basis of a subtle theory and intelligent software created for half a century, allow for all our most efficient and extremely fast algorithms to accurately determine all their parameters according to these most important criteria in a few minutes or, in some cases, hours.
This proves that coding theory is not a mathematical problem at all, in which the whole world was confident for more than half a century, but the most complex computational problem of computer science, which turned out to be solved only on the basis of a new fine theory and technologies for the global search for extremum in specific discrete spaces.
OT includes many technologies, techniques and paradigms that were previously not at all in coding theory. All of them are described in many hundreds of articles, in ten monographs, a reference book and many guidelines for software platforms. They form the dynamic body of a new theory involving MTD algorithms, various modifications of the Viterbi algorithm (AV), including its block version (BAV), are confirmed by almost forty patents and are illustrated by a huge number of demonstration materials. All this ensures the rapid further development of OT and its applications.
We emphasize that our OT, based on majority algorithms and new approaches to AV, is extremely simple and almost obvious. It is about three orders of magnitude smaller than the former very plump and barren algebraic theory. Therefore, the study of OT, the most interesting system-philosophical path, is almost a complete pleasure. So it is very easy to learn and then develop further.
Join us! Let's work together. We guarantee the help. Science in the field of highly reliable «numbers» - only with us!
Now МTD is approximately in 100 times simpler on number of operations compared with most effective turbo codes. There advantages are even more large at hardware realization.
At our site you may find the articles and presentations describing properties and capabilities МTD in Russian and English. In addition you can copy in your computer and then see a little movie. It demonstrates in a very pictorial form principles of MTD working in a channel with a large noise. It is submitted in two versions: for the MS-DOS and Windows. Do not forget at first to read the user guide (pdf-format) for this demo program, though it is a very simple on control and absolutely clear for each specialist familiar with the theory and methods of noiseproof coding.
We suggest software versions of "The Simulators of digital satellite channels", keeping also best known coding methods. "The Simulator" is detailed written on educational page of our site, where its demoversion is submitted also.
Write to us about everything connected with the coding theory. Send your stuffs and publications about decoding algorithms. We shall place your articles on our site.
We wait for your recalls about a new simple method of code decoding near channel capacity.
